BIR Maasin Tops Gawad Handang Maglingkod Program In Region 8

MAASIN CITY - The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) also known as Revenue District Office No. 90 headed by RDO Ma. Teresa Noemi A. Pizon receives an award for its outstanding performance in the 2010 Handang Maglingkod Program (HMP) in Eastern Visayas region and at the same time as the Best Revenue District Office for Revenue Region No. 14 – Tacloban City, according to Marina C. Calapre, BIR Maasin Chief – TSS disclosed to PIA Maasin.

The award was given by the Commissioner of Internal Revenue Kim S. Jacinto- Henares last August 2, 2010 during the celebration of the 106th BIR Anniversary at the BIR National Office, Calapre added.

MAASIN CITY -- Remember only the “4 S” in preventing infestation of dengue outbreaks.

This, however, needs the massive support, participation, and cooperation of the people in the community, so the breeding ground of “Aedes Aegypti” mosquitoes, the carrier of the disease, in the barangays, especially the crowded ones, can be washed out.
